Sambros Registers With World Association of NGO's (WANGO)


Sambros Development - Ghana, a community based Non-Governmental Organisation on Monday 30th November, 2009 at 21:35GMT filed an online membership application to join the prestigious World Association of Non - Governmental Organisations(WANGO).

Sambros Development - Ghana by this move is expected to be enlisted on the WANGO website. Meanwhile, the Organisation has endorsed the code of ethics adopted by the international body.

SAMBROS President Travels to China


Executive President and founder of Sambros Development - Ghana, Mr. Jacob Yaw Somiah, has embarked on a three(3) week working visit to China.
Mr. Somiah who left the Kotoka International Airport, Accra at 11:40GMT on Friday 18th December, 2009 is expected to visit Guanhzou, Beijing and other key cities in the PR China. He is scheduled to visit some key schools, business entrepreneurs, and friends where he is expected to discuss possible ways of soliciting support for the organisation to enable the organisation meet it target as it plans to fully take off its social responsibility towards rural communities especially those within and around the Bibiani-Ahwiaso-Bekwai District in the Western Region.
Mr. Jacob Yaw Somiah noted before departure that it was prudent that the organisation tried to utilize all its networks so as to be able to meet the growing demands and expectations of the society.
" Let me take this opportunity to wish all Ghanaians especially the deprived in our societies a merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year in advance, as i am not going to be around for the celebration" He added.
Mr. J Y Somiah is however expected back in the country after the first week in January next year.

Corruption rises worldwide

In its recently revealed 2009 Corruption Perceptions Index, Transparency International ranked 180 nations in terms of corruption. On a 0-to-10 scale, with 10 being the least corrupt, 129 of the 180 nations scored below five. New Zealand topped the list as least corrupt, followed by Denmark and Singapore, while Somalia sat at the bottom, followed by Afghanistan and Somalia.
